Winter Skahä Experience

The winter experience is an hour and a half (90 mins) and is being offered

from Nov. 15, 2025  - Mar. 31, 2026

The Nordic Cycle

Start your session relaxing in the sauna for 15-20 minutes. Start the timer, pour water on the rocks and sit back and let the heat work its magic.

The sauna offers a wide range of benefits both physically and mentally;  destress, improve circulation, detox, muscle relaxation, skin health, immune support and respiratory benefits are just a few!

If plunges are not available, due to weather you will be notified prior to your session

​Step out of the Barrel Sauna and into our cold plunges. 

 

Please note:  During the winter months (December–March), cold plunges are now available. To accommodate winter conditions, they are located 60 meters from the sauna beside the recovery room.  While this requires a short walk, we felt offering this option was better than not offering it at all.  At other times of the year, the recovery room is closed, as the full experience takes place outdoors in our Nordic spa area with the cold plunges being placed next to the sauna.  

Now mentally relax your body and slow your breath.  Remember ‘you can do hard things’

Increased circulation, reduced inflammation, improved recovery, enhanced mood and immune function, stress reduction are some of the many benefits

Wow. you did it!

Now you need to let your body recover and warm up naturally. Take the nice stroll back to the spa and rest in our enclosed outdoor relaxation area.  Take this time to calm your mind and body. Practice mindfulness, read a book, enjoy a complementary beverage  or spend some time lounging by the fire.  Rehydrate before you start your next cycle.

Recover

30 min

​Our Special winter experience includes an additional time in our indoor meditation room.  We have created a haven to practice yoga, meditate, relax and recover.

Use this time as you need it, even if it is to take a nap!

This room is equipped with a yoga space, meditation pillows, refreshments and a shower.
